What is Nile Precious Metals?

Nile Precious Metals is Uganda's leading ethical gold sourcing and export company, supplying LBMA-compliant, OECD-certified gold dore bars, nuggets, and refined gold to international refineries and commodity buyers worldwide. Founded in 2016, we operate with full regulatory compliance and transparent chain of custody.

What gold products do you supply?

We supply three main gold products: (1) Gold Dore Bars with 85-92% purity smelted from artisanal mining cooperatives, (2) Natural Gold Nuggets with 80-95% purity from alluvial and hard-rock sources, and (3) Refined Gold with 99.5%+ purity processed through LBMA-accredited refinery partners.

Is your gold conflict-free and ethically sourced?

Yes. All our gold is certified conflict-free and ethically sourced. We are ICGLR certified, OECD Due Diligence compliant (5th Edition), and maintain full chain of custody documentation from mine to vault. We conduct quarterly audits of all cooperative mining partners and prohibit child labour and environmental violations.

What are your minimum order quantities?

We work with institutional buyers, refineries, and commodity traders. Minimum orders typically start at 5kg for gold dore bars and 1kg for refined gold. For consistent off-takers over 50kg/month, we offer preferential pricing and dedicated supply arrangements. Contact our export team for custom arrangements.

How does gold export from Uganda work?

The export process involves: (1) Sales agreement with assay specifications, (2) Buyer verification and payment instrument (LC/SBLC), (3) Provisional assay in Kampala, (4) URA customs clearance and ICGLR certification, (5) Secure air freight via Entebbe Airport, (6) Final assay at destination refinery. Full process takes 5-10 business days.

What certifications do you hold?

We hold Uganda DGSM Mineral Exporter's License, ICGLR Regional Certification for conflict-free minerals, and maintain OECD Due Diligence compliance. Our refinery partners are LBMA-accredited. We are registered with Uganda's Financial Intelligence Authority for AML/CFT compliance and follow FATF guidelines.

Which countries do you export to?

We export gold to refineries and buyers in UAE (Dubai DMCC), United Kingdom (London LBMA vaults), Switzerland (Zurich refineries), USA (New York COMEX), India (Mumbai jewellery sector), Singapore (LBMA Singapore vaults), and other major precious metals trading hubs worldwide.
